Summer Employment
Of the 162 students in the Class of 2007, 156 (96.2%) reported employment to the Office of Career Services for the summer after their second year of law school. 17 (11%) of those students chose to split their summer between law firms, government, public interest agencies, corporate and academic environments.
Of the 129 students in the Class of 2008 reporting employment to the Office of Career Services for the summer after their first year of law school, 35 (23%) of those students chose to split their summer between law firms, government, public interest agencies, corporate and academic environments. 9.2% of students spent their entire summer studying abroad. The students worked in 22 different states and countries during the summer of 2006. The majority spent their summer working in North Carolina, with Washington, DC and Florida being the next most popular locations.
