Adjunct Professor of Law
Professor Brandon is an aviation attorney who began a lifetime involvement in aviation when he made his initial solo flight on his sixteenth birthday in a J-3 Cub and obtained his private pilot's license as a high school student. After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy, he became an Air Force Pilot and served on active duty. After fulfilling his military commitment, he became an airline pilot, graduated with honors from the Wake Forest University School of Law and has practiced with the largest law firm in North Carolina. He is a former adjunct faculty member of the National Transportation Safety Board's Basic Aircraft Accident Investigation School.
Bruce's experience covers the spectrum of aviation law, from airplane crash litigation, to FAA enforcement actions, to proceedings at the National Transportation Safety Board. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS), a member of the North Carolina Bar, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, American Association for Justice and retired member of the Air Line Pilots Association. He currently flies a Twin Comanche and Aeronca Champ.
