Elizabeth Ludwin King researches in the broad areas of international criminal law, transitional justice, and post-conflict reconstruction. Her focus is on the myriad ways countries transition out of conflict and the mechanisms of accountability they use to deal with a prior regime’s human rights abuses. She teaches Criminal Procedure and International Criminal Law. Prior to joining the Wake Forest Law School faculty in 2010, Professor King taught U.S. constitutional law and did research at the University of Palermo in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After law school, she practiced in Washington D.C. and Boston in the area of white collar criminal defense, and then worked at Boston College’s Center for Human Rights and International Justice.
