Professor Pinton is a Research Fellow in International Law at the University of Padua Law School. She also teaches International Law at Ca’ Foscari, University of Venice. She earned her law degree from the University of Ferrara in 1997, a Masters degree in Peace and Conflict Prevention from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003, an LL.M. from the University of California Berkeley in 2004, and a Doctorate in International Law from the University of Padua Law School in 2005. She practiced law in Padua immediately after earning her law degree. Professor Pinton assisted the head of the delegation of the European Commission at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in 2000, and assisted the prosecutor at the International Criminal ad hoc Tribunal for Genocide in Rwanda in 2003.
