Donald R. Pocock is a Partner with the firm of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in Winston-Salem where his practice concentrates in business and commercial litigation. Donald R. Pocock is a Partner with the firm of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in Winston-Salem where his practice concentrates in business and commercial litigation. He often represents clients in the consumer finance and construction industries, though his litigation experience is diverse touching areas including real property, employment law, business dissolutions, and insolvency or creditor’s rights. He has appeared in courts across the State and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina, the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Pocock also has experience in alternative dispute resolution through arbitration and mediation.

Mr. Pocock is a member of the American Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association. He currently sits on the NCBA Administration of Justice Committee, which addresses issues impacting the quality of services in the North Carolina court system and makes recommendations to the Bar Association Board of Governors in that regard. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Twin City Stage and an officer with the Stratford Rotary Club.

Mr. Pocock earned a Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2000. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Pocock was elected to the Order of Barristers and awarded the Robert F. Goldberg Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. Mr. Pocock earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in English and Theatre from Wake Forest University in 1997.
