David Shores is well known for his numerous articles in the fields of taxation and antitrust.  His views on Tax Court litigation, presented in a series of three articles that appeared in The Tax Lawyer, a quarterly journal published by the Taxation Section of the ABA, were an agenda item at a Tax Court Conference attended by Tax Court judges and tax lawyers from throughout the country.  He has served as a visiting professor at the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia, Missouri, and as a distinguished visiting professor at William Mitchell School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Following law school, he joined the legal staff of the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C. as a trial attorney specializing in price discrimination litigation.  After earning a LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University, David joined the law firm of Porter, Stanley, Treffinger & Platt (now Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur) in Columbus, Ohio, where he specialized in taxation and antitrust.  He is currently in phased retirement and limits his teaching to two courses.
