Vanessa Zboreak teaches subjects including Food Law, Sustainability Law and Policy, Administrative Law, and Legal Writing. Her primary research area is agricultural law and econonomics. Her work explores the impact of agriculture on labor, the environment, and rural communities and suggests solutions to the challenges posed by industrial agricultural system. Another line of her research examines norms and dialects in online discourse, and the ethical implications of attorney interactions with online communities, applications, and technologies.

She received her B.A. from Grinnell Colletge, and her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law. Prior to her appointment as Professor of the Practice at the School of Law, she was a PEM Fellow in the Center for Energy, Environment, and Sustainability and a Clinical Teaching Fellow at the School of Law. She also has a faculty appointment in the Graduate Programs in Sustainability, where in 2016 she received the Champions of Change Teaching and Engagement Award. Additionally, she is the Board President of the Yadkin Riverkeeper and serves on the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Committee for Sustainable Schools.
