International Student Associates Program
Mikio Nishioka (Japan) and his wife hang out with J.D. friends at the annual Barrister Ball
Each LLM student is paired with an American JD student who has volunteered to participate in the mentoring program. The mentoring program is designed to encourage American JD students and international LLM students to become acquainted on a personal basis. The student mentor is available, throughout the year, to offer advice about the quirks of American society and daily life and to help answer questions about class requirements. The student mentors also help provide transportation to and from the airport, grocery store or bank and include their international associates in social events. The American JD students benefit through increasing their knowledge of world affairs and hopefully building a lasting relationship with their advisees.
