Similar to the majority of other private and public universities in the U.S. during the last decade, tuition and expenses have increased annually for Wake Forest University. The average tuition rate increase for the Wake Forest University School of Law LL.M. Program over the last three years has been 7%.
A year in residence in the Wake Forest University School of Law S.J.D. Program can be costly but your choice also offers many special benefits. 1 S.J.D. students will register for two (2) credit hours of Supervised Dissertation during each semester in which the student is not in residency until his dissertation is completed and his degree is awarded. The student will be charged a corresponding tuition rate per credit hour.
2 Students who will be accompanied by dependent family members should allow an additional $7,000 for a spouse and $4,000 for each accompanying child.
3 An additional fee of $316 will be charged to all incoming students for on-campus Student Health Services.
Located in a scenic region of North Carolina, the cost of living in Winston-Salem can be much less expensive than in large urban areas where many other public or private schools are located.
Financial assistance for graduate education is quite limited. There are no law school scholarships, research or teaching assistantships available for S.J.D. candidates. There are modest tuition remissions in exceptional cases in some years.
