Welcome

Orientation

At registration, you will pick up an informational packet that will contain a schedule for your classes during Legal Research & Writing (LRW) week. Your reading assignment for Monday, August 17, the first day of LRW class, will be posted.

During the first week of LRW class, you will begin learning about legal methods and process, statutory and case law, as well as how to use some of the research tools available in the law library. As this will be a very busy week, and you will have a good deal of work each night to prepare for each day of class, you should plan on being "settled in" to your new housing before August 14 so that you can devote your energy to learning these important new skills.

All of this may sound very ominous, but you should look on this week as an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the law and begin to prepare yourself for your legal career. See the Orientation Schedule below for details.
