The Office of Career & Professional Development offers a policy of “reciprocity” to students and graduates of other ABA accredited law schools that provide reciprocal services to students and graduates of Wake Forest University School of Law.  All reciprocity requests must be made via email to Dean Francie Scott (scottfs@wfu.edu) by an official of the student/graduate’s career services office. A copy of the reciprocity policy of the requesting school should be included as well as an email address for the student or graduate seeking reciprocity privileges.

Please note the following conditions of reciprocity:

  • Reciprocity is available for a 3-month period. Requests for renewal will be evaluated on an individual basis.
  • Reciprocity is limited to third-year students and graduates seeking permanent employment in North Carolina, except at the discretion of the Assistant Dean.
  • Reciprocity will be granted on a one for one basis: reciprocity will be granted only to the student or graduate for whom the request was made, and Wake Forest University School of Law expects reciprocity to be granted to one student or graduate in return.
  • Reciprocity may be limited during busy recruiting times. Current Wake Forest Law students and alums will receive priority access to career counseling appointments.
  • Without exception, students and graduates of other schools are not permitted to participate in on- or off-campus interview programs or resume referral services.

Services Offered

For Graduates: Reciprocal services granted to graduates includes a 3-month subscription to the Alumni Job Bulletin.  (Note: Wake Forest University School of Law is a member of the BYU Intercollegiate Job Bank. If you only seek access to our job postings and your school participates in BYU’s Intercollegiate Job Bank, then you do not need to request reciprocity as our Alumni Job Bulletin is accessible through that site).

For Third-Year Students: Student job postings are not provided to non-Wake Forest law students. Reciprocal services granted to students include a 3-month subscription to the Alumni Job Bulletin and the ability to request a one-on-one career counseling appointment, subject to advisor availability.

Requests for privileges in addition to those stated above shall be granted at the discretion of the Office of Career & Professional Development. The Office of Career & Professional Development reserves the right to grant or deny reciprocity services based on the demands of Wake Forest Law faculty, staff, students and alumni.
