Visiting Assistant Professor of Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research
Professor Ruth Morton returns to Wake Forest Law for the 2016-17 academic year to teach first year and advanced Legal Analysis, Writing and Research (LAWR). She has had an extensive career at the law school, most recently as a writing specialist in the law school’s Pilot Writing Program and as a Bar counselor to Wake Law graduates taking the North Carolina Bar Exam. Previously, Professor Morton taught in the LAWR Program for 11 years, serving as Associate Director and later as Co-Director. Before joining the faculty, Professor Morton was a lecturer in English Composition at High Point University, a supervisory attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Northwest North Carolina, and judicial clerk to Judge Cecil J. Hill of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. A magna cum laude graduate of University of Connecticut, Professor Morton earned her JD degree from University of North Carolina School of Law.
